Knitted Mitts

Hello!

I have some lovely cozy warm knitted mitts to show off today! These are my first finished project that isn't an easy hat or scarf. And they're my first attempt at cables! I am super proud of them and I wear them in my icy cold office and while riding my bike.

The pattern is One Cable Mitts by Valerie Teppo (Free and available here!) and I made them with bulky yarn and size 10 dpns because I wanted them big enough to fit over sweater sleeves. They turned out exactly how I wanted and only took a weekend to knit up. I added some vintage green glass buttons on the "up" side so I could tell which was right and which left.

Oh, and my roommate's kitten Loki was extremely helpful throughout the entire process:
Here she is keeping my yarn safe...

And helping test the size!

Next time, a peplum top and the joys of tracing Burda patterns...
