I Aten't Dead

Oh wow. Blog neglect much? Oh well, I'm back and I'm still making shit! Here's my latest project, please excuse the terrible dirty mirror pictures:

So today my boyfriend and I drove by an estate sale, and good thing we stopped! I wish I had taken pictures of the adorable midcentury house the sale was in. I'm talking green shag carpeting, a mint condition hi-fi for $25 and adorable cross-stitch samplers on the walls. My boyf got a couple plaid flannel shirts and I got this awesome XL shirt with WOLVES on it and a nerdy old-school board game called Shadowlord! (Their punctuation, not mine.) I knew as soon as I saw this shirt that I needed it. I was originally going to just cut it down to my size and keep it a shirt, but after I took in the side seams and tried it on I realized it was long enough for a dress! And who doesn't need a grey flannel shirt dress with wolf silhouettes on it?

RAW MATERIALS
1 XL men's flannel wolf shirt

CHANGES
I moved the sleeve head up toward the shoulder about 2".
I took in each side seam about 2" and the sleeves about 4" each
I added 2 buttons (taken from the cuffs, which I always roll) and buttonholes to the placket. Otherwise it would have been indecent to wear!

TIME
Two episodes of Archer, so about 45 minutes.

COST
A whopping $2!

All in all, a great success!
